Hands wearing a diamond ring, black and white

THE ATELIER

Bespoke

Bring us a stone, a memory, or nothing at all. Everything else is a conversation.

The Commission

Four movements,
no shortcuts.

Roughly one in three commissions begins with a stone the family already owns. Those are our favourite conversations.

An hour in the salon, or by telephone if you are away. We ask what the piece is for, who will wear it, and what it must survive. Nothing is presented, nothing is priced, nothing is expected.

Two to four studies, painted in gouache at actual size. You keep the drawings whether or not the commission proceeds — they are yours; they were made about you.

A viewing at the loupe with our gemmologist. You will be shown stones we recommend against, and told why. Certification and provenance are provided before any commitment.

Six to nine months, with photographs at each stage. You are welcome to visit the atelier and watch the setting, provided you can be quiet for an hour.

Begin

Tell us about
the piece.

Or about the occasion, the person, or the stone in the drawer that has been waiting for a setting since 1986.
